We worked with talented RVA illustrator Bridget Guckin to do this custom illustration for the Aesthetic Center of Richmond Dermatology’s Patient Appreciation Event Series. We’ve worked with Bridget on several projects in the past for both clients and TFB’s own branding. She’s actually a former student and a fellow advertising grad of Virginia Commonwealth University Robertson School of Communication.
What she’s been working on lately are these beautiful, intricate illustrations. We knew she’s be perfect for this project.
Custom Iconography for Aesthetic Center of Richmond Dermatology. Bridget Guckin, a talented illustrator. She actually was a student of mine. We’ve worked together with her on several projects in the past, and she does this beautiful, intricate work—she does a lot of wedding illustrations.

You’ll see a lot of the icons are reflective of things at the event.
Skincare bottles and Makeup bag: Obviously, we have the skincare bottles, the lips, the little Botox bottles, and also we designed and produced a custom makeup bag for them that I’m super excited about. I’ve been inspired by shopping—I tell myself that all this shopping I’ve been doing my whole life has been good for something! And it really is, because I saw these really cute waffle-weave makeup bags in gift stores while traveling, and a little bag in a Nantucket gift store inspired our swag bags for last year. This year we took it up a notch and did custom, so they have the logo on them. I’m so excited for them to arrive, and we have those reflected in the design.
Crown: ACORD also has a partnership they built separately with Miss Virginia, and they’ve done other engagements with her. I think she’s doing some influencer partnerships. That’s one of the strengths of Tiramisu for Breakfast—and one of the things that I think is so important about integrating your marketing channels—that communication is super important. We figured out a way to integrate Miss Virginia into the campaign by doing a unique photo opportunity with her, and we had her crown reflected here in the pattern.
For the event this year, the theme is “everything pink”—shades of pink. consistency of that same logo—we just did a pink version of it. We wanted to create this pattern because there are so many different ways we can use it.
Now we have separate versions of all the files. We did these large cutout images of the icons that people can hold up in photos at the event. We pulled them out for illustrations in the email, and we’re incorporating them into signage materials. We’re doing a custom wallpaper on the bar carts and flower carts. There are just so many different ways we can use this iconography, and I think even going forward, we’ll find more. It’s so awesome that we got to work with Bridget again on this—we think she did a great job.
Aesthetic Center of Richmond Dermatology—abbreviation is ACORD—my crazy, non-linear-thinking mind immediately went to, “Oh, ACORD? Sounds like chords, music, harp!” We needed a harp player, music chords, harpist at the event. Plus, just that elegant feel. The office is beautiful. I hope that if you are in the area, you get to come by and see it because it’s such a beautiful, elegant space. They’ve done such a great job with it. It feels like a delight to visit there. So the harpist was perfect for this elegant event, and we also had that reflected. of course we needed a harp for the event.

Flower Cart: If you’re in Richmond you’ve seen the flower cart outside the French restaurant Can Can Brasserie in Carytown.
