Today starts a weekend of beauty events and special sales at Dillard’s Short Pump.

I’ve gotten to know the team at Dillard’s through my work with Short Pump Town Center. And it’s been exciting to learn about their big beauty department renovation. One of my favorite makeup artists from Bobbi Brown, Zoe, recently joined the team and helped launch the Bobbi Brown counter there. They’ve also just added CREED, Jo Malone, La Mer, and Perfumes de Marley.

Almost every beauty counter is running some kind of special free gift or event from 10/14-10/16

We stopped by to learn more about all the special things they have planned so that we can help spread the word.

We couldn’t resist adding a little creativity to our promotional photos. We were inspired by Jordan Matter’s 10-minute photo challenge on YouTube (special thanks to my firefighter friend David for sending this to me in a Facebook message a few years ago!) to enlist the help of ballerina Joey of Richmond’s Stavna Ballet.

Stavna Ballet is a local ballet company made up of dancers from all over the country. I recently joined its board.

Each year Stavna hosts a fundraiser gala to support it’s non-profit outreach program, Stavna Reach. This year’s gala is Thursday 10/21.

It’s going to be so fun to get dressed up, see friends and meet new people. Tickets to the gala start at $65. We’d love to see you there!
