Mindful Mornings After Work – May
May 22 @ 5:30 pm - 7:15 pm
Mindful Mornings After Work — in addition to the Mindful Mornings that we all know and love — is a 90-minute forum where mission-driven do-gooders convene to not only collaborate and learn, but to do.
Through sharing his own experience of being forced to learn within a framework not built for those with dyslexia, Garret Westlake, Executive Director of VCU da Vinci Center, will take you on a self-reflective journey through your own relationship with learning, knowing, not knowing, and teaching. In support of changing the world, we have to be not only willing and able to learn, but to also be willing and able to teach without concern for the breaking or inflating of our egos, but in support of the righteous mission we’re on. Join Garret and learn how to unlearn — and then learn how to teach — and all in 90-minutes.
Doors open at 5:30! Keynote begins by 5:45 p.m.
