Blogger Favorites From The Container Store
*In partnership with The Container Store.
The Container Store is finally in Richmond!
It's been so cool to see everyone excited about something new in our city.
I'd never been to The Container Store before I heard that they were coming to Richmond. They have soooo many cool things I didn't even know existed.
I'll start by telling you some of my favorite things, and you can also scroll through for links to the favorite products as well as details about projects done by other bloggers who worked on the campaign.
It was so fun to learn not only about The Container Store and all they have to offer but learn about all of these women and see their organized creativity in action.
Each of them have different needs/lifestyles, so I think you'll each find ideas to relate to and projects that inspire you.
I also love that The Container Store Partnered with a local Richmond Charity, The Children's Hospital at VCU, to benefit from sales during the opening celebration. Here's a photo of the team with the over $11,000 donation check.
Ps: I cannot do a post without mentioning that The Container Store is dog-friendly. As in, you can bring your dog with you into the store to shop. I think this is the cutest thing.
"At The Container Store, we’re proud to call ourselves animal-lovers! In addition to our wide range of pet food storage products, we also love it when our furry, four-legged customers visit us at our store locations. Our stores have always been pet-friendly, so customers can feel perfectly comfortable shopping with their pets on a leash or in the shopping cart."
my favorite things
Before I ever went to a The Container Store location in-person, I bought these white lacquer boxes after seeing them online. I keep this next to my couch with skincare products and alcocol wipes. Like a lot of home decor, it's moved around my house and I've used it for a bunch of different things. I looked back at my email to see when I ordered it and found the confirmation and shipping notices from 2017. So in five years, it's held up pretty great! This is the large size, and it would be perfect for photos.
I love clear, acrylic shelves. these are perfect for adding extra space and they match everything. I hung two next to my vanity/desk to store products and jewelry. These come in several sizes - even one wide enough for displaying shoes.
These laundry baskets from Curver are my favorite. They are super sturdy and don't crack or bend when you're moving them around.
(We learned how to roll towels like a fancy spa while we were quarantined)
Elfa Closet Makeovers with The Crystal Press
Catherine Claire and Rebecca are fashion bloggers at The Crystal Press.
They seemed the most excited to hear that The Container Store has custom closets, and we knew that their fabulous wardrobes would be the perfect way to show them off.
Catherine and Rebecca both worked with one of The Container Store's closet design experts.
It was so cool to watch over Zoom as they compared photos of their spaces with mockups in their design software and then to see the final results look so great.
Check out their blog posts for all the details.
It was such a breath of fresh air to get to work with The Container Store (who is kind of like the organizing fairy godmother!) in my space.

Fridge Organization with Brittany of Eating Bird Food
Brittany is the nutritionist, recipe creator and blogger behind Eating Bird Food. She's also the author of Salad Every Day, Fit With Five, and Eat Well with EBF.
Ps: I personally love her recipes. The Chicken Fajita Soup is a favorite and I just tried and loved some of her energy balls.
Of course Brittany's fridge is a food-lovers dream. Every day, she needs to easily access all kinds of ingredients. She shared a before/after of her fridge organization on Instagram stories, and you can see some of her favorite items from The Container Store below.
I'm so excited to have my fridge completely reorganized. This is one of my favorite organizing projects that I've ever done.
Toy Storage with Ryan of The Blessed Mess Blog
Ryan is a mom who loves her little ones, but not the aesthetic of their colorful toys all over the house. She found the perfect combination of cubbies and bins to keep everything out-of-sight but still accessible.
See all the details and her favorite items below.
Before these cubbies, we had their toys ...strewn all around the table. It was atrocious. But now that we have these new cubby storage bins, everything is kept out of sight, except for the larger items. And they almost feel on display to me.
Pantry Organization with Ashley Nicole
Ashley's also a mom of two. Her project pick was her pantry, and it was all about efficiency. She figured out exactly what she needed to make her
shopping and cooking as stress-free and easy as possible.
My pantry has always been difficult to keep organized because it’s small. However, when The Container Store opened a new location in Richmond, Virginia, I was so excited because I knew they would have exactly what I needed to keep everything organized.
How To Do Laundry with Kristen Ziegler of Minima
Kristen's a professional organizer who's been using The Container Store's products for years.
Learn all about her "file fold technique" and her "capsule wardrobe."
I use The Container Store’s 15-Dowel Wooden Clothes Drying Rack. I love the warm wood and the way it fits right into my space like a piece of furniture.
That's all, folks!
I'd love to hear what you think and what you love from The Container Store.
If you've gotten to check out The Container Store in Short Pump, I'd love to hear about it! It's always fun to see what other people bought. Feel free to reach out!
