u-fab CHAIRity Gala & Auction

2 influential artists & designers will auction their custom fabricated chairs in an evening with delicious hors d’oeuvres by Saison, accompanied by an open bar featuring fine wines, craft cocktails from Belle Isle Moonshine and craft beers from Billsburg Brewery.

Why are you charging for tickets?

We want to raise a substantial amount of money for CARITAS. 100% of the revenue from ticket sales and auction will be going to them. u-fab and our local sponsors (Belle Isle Moonshine, Billsburg Brewery & Saison), are bearing all of the costs associated with hosting the event. We know it is going to be well worth the cost of admission, as there’s no party like a u-fab party!!

Who is paying for the fabric and fabrication of the chairs?

u-fab is providing most of the materials and fabrication services for the chair. Our selected designers are providing their design talent and vision. Some are also providing materials and services to further enhance their designs. We are proud to donate our services, along with the designers’ talent, so we can give 100% of the auction proceeds to support CARITAS’ mission of ending homelessness and addiction in the Richmond area.

Why is u-fab doing this?

We want to give back to our community. We chose CARITAS because they run a great organization and are on the front lines of the battle against homelessness and addiction in Richmond. As someone who has seen the damage of addiction up close and personal, CARITAS’ mission means a lot to us. To learn more about them, check out www.caritasva.org.
