The 70th Annual Parade of Homes Returns in October featuring new construction throughout Richmond, Virginia
The Home Building Association of Richmond (HBAR) is proud to announce the 70th Anniversary of Parade of Homes in the Greater Richmond area this October 2021 with more than 45 homes featured. The event is Virginia’s premier scattered-site home showcase and free to the public. Parade of Homes is a self-guided tour of the region’s top new homes, begins on October 2, 2021, and will run four weekends of the month (excluding Halloween weekend).
The homes are located throughout the Greater Richmond area including Counties of Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, King William, New Kent, and Powhatan. This is the best opportunity to see every type of new home imaginable, showcasing innovative ideas, stunning design features, amazing floor plans, and master craftsmanship, at prices spanning from the mid $200s to $850,000. All the homes will be available for virtual viewing. On-site viewing will follow the most current guidelines and protocols by the state of Virginia.
“Generations of families have enjoyed touring Richmond Parade of Homes as their source for finding a builder, floor plan, and home design that best suits their needs. In this 70th year, we come to find greater appreciation for the role home plays in our everyday lives,” said Danna Markland, CEO of the Home Building Association of Richmond.
The Parade of Homes will be held October 2-3, 9-10, 16-17, and 23-24. Hours on those days are from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free.
Each weekend during the Parade of Homes will feature an exciting community sponsor. This year’s sponsors are Giles, in Hanover County, for October 2 & 3; RounTrey in Chesterfield County for October 9 & 10; Harpers Mill for October 16 & 17; and the final weekend at Summer Lake, October 23 & 24. Each sponsor will feature fun community-wide events that all members of the public are invited to attend that will adhere to the current COVID 19 protocols.
The Parade of Homes Plan Book and the website, RichmondParadeofHomes.com, will include detailed information about the event and the individual homes on the tour, including home designs, floor plans and descriptions, detailed directions to each home, and a map.
