About the Cause: Anthem LemonAid is an annual fundraiser to benefit Children's Hospital of Richmond. Children, parents, companies, and communities host lemonade stands to raise money to donate. This year, Anthem LemonAid has gone virtual. Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU is Central Virginia's only comprehensive, full-service children's hospital. As Virginia's first Level 1 pediatric trauma center, CHoR offers a wide range of children's health services, including pediatric emergency services, primary care, specialty and subspecialty care, burn, trauma, transplant and long-term care. With more than 15 locations across Central Virginia, CHoR provides pediatric inpatient and outpatient services that cover nearly all children's health-related needs.
As of 2020, CHoR has been ranked among the nation’s best children’s hospitals for cancer (#49), nephrology (343), pulmonology (#29) and urology care (#29) according to U.S. News & World Report. As part of VCU Health, CHoR is committed to ensuring access to care for all children, training future pediatric caregivers and making new discoveries that improve understanding and treatment of childhood diseases. About the Art: All of the pieces are made with acrylic paint. Some of the pieces have metallic paint and/or silver/gold foil embellishments, as pictured.
