After a COVID-caused hiatus, the 17th Annual Short Pump Town Center FREE Summer Concert Series returns this Thursday, August 5th. Three Sheets to the Wind, America’s #1 Tribute to Yacht Rock, will kick off the three-part decade themed series with 70s soft rock hits in their signature, nautical style.
The events begin at 5:00 PM in the Main Plaza near the entrance to Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn . Wine tastings provided by Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant will be available from 5:00 – 8:00 PM near the Main Plaza, the proceeds from which will benefit Henrico CASA. Henrico CASA believes every child deserves a safe home where they can thrive. They stand up for the best interests of vulnerable children in Henrico County who are wrapped up in court cases that allege abuse or neglect as their voice in court, ensuring they have a safe home. Funds raised from the wine tastings will provide resources needed to support four additional families over the upcoming year.
103.7 will be on-site with Jackson Scott of “Mornings with Jackson” as emcee.We’re so excited to bring back the FREE Summer Concert Series! It’s been such a tough year, we look forward to spreading a little joy and having some 70s,80s, and 90s-themed fun!

Blogger Favorites From The Container Store

The Container Store is finally in Richmond!
It’s been so cool to see everyone excited about something new in our city.
I’d never been to The Container Store before I heard that they were coming to Richmond. They have soooo many cool things I didn’t even know existed.
I’ll start by telling you some of my favorite things, and you can also scroll through for links to the favorite products as well as details about projects done by other bloggers who worked on the campaign.
It was so fun to learn not only about The Container Store and all they have to offer but learn about all of these women and see their organized creativity in action.
Each of them have different needs/lifestyles, so I think you’ll each find ideas to relate to and projects that inspire you.
I also love that The Container Store Partnered with a local Richmond Charity, The Children’s Hospital at VCU, to benefit from sales during the opening celebration. Here’s a photo of the team with the over $11,000 donation check.
Ps: I cannot do a post without mentioning that The Container Store is dog-friendly. As in, you can bring your dog with you into the store to shop. I think this is the cutest thing.

my favorite things
Before I ever went to a The Container Store location in-person, I bought these white lacquer boxes after seeing them online. I keep this next to my couch with skincare products and alcocol wipes. Like a lot of home decor, it’s moved around my house and I’ve used it for a bunch of different things. I looked back at my email to see when I ordered it and found the confirmation and shipping notices from 2017. So in five years, it’s held up pretty great! This is the large size, and it would be perfect for photos.
I love clear, acrylic shelves. these are perfect for adding extra space and they match everything. I hung two next to my vanity/desk to store products and jewelry. These come in several sizes – even one wide enough for displaying shoes.
These laundry baskets from Curver are my favorite. They are super sturdy and don’t crack or bend when you’re moving them around.
(We learned how to roll towels like a fancy spa while we were quarantined)

WHAT:Created by RAW Design, a Toronto-based architectural firm, Prismatica was assembled by a team of professionals from several fields like applied science, technology, art and architecture. Comprised of 25 pivoting prisms that stand at more than 6 ft tall, this art installation looks like a giant kaleidoscope. Guests can enjoy an infinite interplay of lights and colorful reflections as they walk through and manipulate the prisms. Prismatica was first presented as part of the 5th edition of Luminothérapie at the Place des Festivals in the Quartier des Spectacles in Montreal and this year it’s coming to Richmond!

Our influencer strategy served three purposes:
Feedback: They were our connection to the local community. We solicited feedback to inform our strategy at the beginning and they continued to be a source of feedback throughout the campaign.
Reach/Ambassadorship: We’re able to reach an expanded audience and expose them to The Container Store through the trusted lens of each influencer.
Content: Each influencer created unique, helpful, entertaining content that can be incorporated into multiple channels within our strategy influencing media outreach, mailers, and social media content. Through the influencers, we were able able to highlight multiple product offerings in detail with relatable and relevant advice and instruction.

Dec. 11: Michelle Devereaux Livigne of Driveway Drag Show performed a drive-thru show at the McDonald’s at 9751 W. Broad St. All money raised went to the Ronald McDonald Charities of Richmond.
